Meet Our Aesthetician
Through this extensive knowledge she is able to fully understand the transformation of skin cells in order to determine the best facial treatment for your skin. Patty’s training and formal education sets her apart from other aestheticians in the skin care industry. She is dedicated to helping others feel their best by mentoring and encouraging them to look their best through professional skin treatments and at-home-care education.
Patty treats hyperpigmentation, rosacea, acne, unwanted hair, and early signs of aging with a blend of medical-grade and organic therapies.
Patty is also certified, highly trained and experienced in performing Dermaplaning, which is a highly efficient, safe treatment that all skin types and colors can benefit from. The physical exfoliation procedure is performed using a #10 sterile surgical blade. While holding the area of the skin taut, the blade is stroked along the skin at a 45 degree angle to gently scrape away the top layer of dead epidermal cells while removing vellus facial hair (peach fuzz) that can trap excess dirt and oil. It’s an alternative hair removal technique, as well as an alternative to Microdermabrasion, which is not recommended for clients who have visible broken capillaries. Dermaplaning is a quick, non-surgical painless procedure with no down time and most people say it feels good. Many clients are often concerned that the hair will grow back heavier and darker after Dermaplaning, however this is not the case. As long as the hair is superficial vellus hair, it will grow back at the same rate and texture as before the treatment.
Removing epidermal skin also allows products to penetrate more readily into the deeper layers. This treatment helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines, uneven texture, and provides a healthier more radiant complexion. Aftercare is simple and easy, requiring only gentle cleansing and a good sunscreen.
Dermaplaning is often performed immediately before a chemical peel to allow the peel to work more effectively. By removing the outer layer of dead skin, the peel may be applied more evenly for a more dramatic result.
